These assumptions are not in line with the current understanding of biological consequences of RF radiation. As such, they should not be used for health protective exposure guidelines.


Additionally there is the fact that both ICNIRP and FCC are limiting the maximum limits of exposure to peak local SARs, based on the maximum spatial specific absorption rate (psSAR) which is not a reliable dosimetric instrument to assess the amount of exposure to RF radiation. Particularly it is inconclusive for frequencies above 6 GHz. Furthermore, psSAR has not been evaluated for RF radiation exposed to other agents of the environment such as sunlight. Interactions of RF radiation and other environmental agents may produce synergistic or antagonistic impacts. This could result in an increased risk of negative health consequences. For example, exposure to RF radiation and sunlight could raise the chance of skin cancer and exacerbate other skin disorders, such as acne.
